For many, the disruption of the last few years has caused people to re-evaluate their professional and personal priorities. The workplace pressures for researchers are significant with many human trade-offs occurring in order to meet the required research productivity. Diversity, inclusion and culture are important drivers of productivity, and innovation, but are often viewed as a compliance exercise rather than fundamental to research excellence. Jane will explore why we should care about diversity, inclusion and culture, beyond compliance. She will share insights from cultural reviews of other workplace sectors, to suggest simple actions chiropractic researchers might take to help them excel during these extraordinary times.
